ANDALUCÍA
Title: “The force of nature”.
Technique: gouache and acrylic.

Inspiration

“I wanted to compare the dress with a stone column whose shaft is slowly being colonized by organic elements. I wanted to represent nature’s struggle and perseverance. The tenacity that enables a weed to ultimately defeat other materials, like asphalt  or steel, over time.

I have used is gouache and acrylic, creating an ascending composition, playing around with organic and geometric shapes in a surreal way, using some key elements of Gaudí, such as the modular design of the tiles, the Sagrada Familia, the salamander or the eye. All interpreted with the intensity of color so typical of his architecture”.
