Workshop APRAMP

Workshop with the APRAMP Association, which works with victims of trafficking in Madrid and is dedicated to achieving social reintegration and is committed to productive and creative work as a central axis and main tool to prepare them.

They have been trained under an artistic vision enhancing their creativity.

The workshop was given by Fashion Art Institute through its president Manuel Fernandez was in charge of leading the recycling workshop. For this workshop, second-hand clothes were collected and given a second life by transforming them into some of the pieces, which have been artistically intervened by the participants.

Manuel Fernandez, has also been in charge of training in Patchwork, a form of sewing that consists of sewing pieces of fabric into a larger design. The larger design is usually based on repetitive patterns constructed with different shapes of fabric.

The workshop was given to 10 reintegrated African women from Equatorial Guinea and Central Africa for one month. The final work consisted of making a piece for a flamenco show by artist Chelo Pantoja.
